I was just reading about how Isaac Asimov died of AIDS related complications (1992) from a blood-transfusion in the 80's. His family just recently made it public information since their doctors (mostly dead now) originally told them that the announcement would bring discrimination against the family. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_asimov#Illness_and_death
